Ok, so this delicious "stewie" is a very famous dish in the portuguese region "Alentejo". Don't miss it, cook it!
Ingredients:
- 1,5 kg of lamb
- homemade bread
- olive oil
- 2 onions
- 5 garlic cloves
- 1 laurel leaf
- 2 tsp of sweet paprika
- 3 tbsp of balsamic vinegar
- hot sauce
- parsley
- salt q.b.
- pepper
1- Cut the lamb in small pieces and fry in low heat with olive oil, until it's golden. Remove it.
2- Chop the onions and garlics and fry in the olive oil together with the laurel and the pepper. Then, join the lamb with salt, paprika, parsley and hot sauce and join a glass of water. Let it boil for 30 min in medium heat.
3- Cut the bread and add to the pan until it has absorbed the water.
4- Remove the meat and join the balsamic vinegar and let cook for 5-10 min. Serve the broth on top of the meat.
